Beautiful scenery with large number of trees. High altitude may affect some people. Good fishing many lakes within walking distance. Most sites not viable for longer motorhome/trailers, excellent for tenters.

We arrived at 250 pm. No one was there to provide a key. No signage was posted as to where we could get a key. We did find the camp host, one lake down. No one was there. My son and I waited until 430 pm for someone to show. After waiting long enough, we traveled to the ranger station in Kamas, Utah. They called the camp host. The host told them they had to run and get propane and that they would meet us there. They NEVER showed. I went down to the host site. They were there, they said they had no idea we were there. I asked them about the phone call, they said “oh, we thought that was someone else”.?..they gave us a key and said they would be around on Saturday.
Once in the tent…all I can say is that it was way over priced and over stated. It was not a pleasant trip. The bed was not a bed, it smelled and there were no outside chairs.
I will never again make a reservation and I will tell anyone I see not to either.
We spent a lot of money and got nothing for it. You should lower your price and improve the campsite.

When we arrived, there was a car parked in our spot. A family took it thinking it was open because the camp hosts did not update the reserved sign. There were three reservations on the card between July 31 - Aug. 7. Our reservation was from Aug. 7-8. There was PLENTY of time to update the reservation card. So, we parked our 30 foot RV in someone else's spot and parked our jeep behind the car. I searched for the camp hosts (there weren't any), tried calling Recreation.gov (no reception) so I began asking all the other campers if they knew who the car belonged to. No one knew and said the camp hosts rarely come around. The other campers were amazing and offered solutions such as talk to another campsite because they may be leaving (which did happen so a couple sites opened up). When the owner of the car showed up 4-5 hours later, we explained the situation and told them what sites were open. It worked out at the end, but it did put a damper on the trip because we couldn't settle in. We couldn't all go to the lake together. One of us had to stay to watch the RV and car.
Other than that, the campground was awesome and the lake was gorgeous.
