Good luck getting in when you get there. You have to track down the campground host to be let in with an old school key that will be easy to misplace because of no tag. We got into the cabin after waiting 3 hours and our planned surprise birthday party was ruined. Ran out of hand soap. No phone reception, so if you need anything you have to drive a mile to the camp host. When you are ready to leave you have to take the key and all your trash back to the campground. Simple solution - install a key pad on the door and issue a code to renters. Toilet has not had a thorough cleaning all season. Only 2 burners on the stove light with the pilot. Floor around stove needs to be scrubbed. This place is described as being historic. Mostly it has a lot of deferred maintenance with low cleaning standards.

The place was exactly as expected. Jeff was a great host. We had a great time. The nearby reservoir was perfect. Fishing was fun. Mind you there were 4 twin beds 2 in each room. We wound up pushing them together to get 2 queenish beds. No big deal though. The fire pit has a grill grate for grilling over a campfire. Was awesome. Would do it again.

This was a wonderful cabin to stay in! We had two under one and this was the perfect way to spend a weekend up in the mountains without worrying about the littles getting too cold in the rain and snow. Very clean, the heater gets the cabin toasty, and the most beautiful birding right out the door! We were he first party in a decade to stay in it and it was wonderful! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful!
