Just an all around great weekend. It was a busy 4th but things we still quiet and relaxing. The camp ground hosts were great and there if we needed anything.

On our arrival at out campsite on July 5th, we found out that there was no water. Our campground host was helpful and told us we could get water at a campsite 4 miles away or down in Kamas, but that there probably would be water for at least 10 days. This wouldn't have been an issue had we known before arrival. Considering that this is known as a premier campsite in the Uintah's it could desperately use some maintenance. The dirt roads have huge potholes, and the toilets are very outdated.

The camp hosts were extremely rude because we showed up to our campsite a little early. They were yelling at us and shaming us and treated us with so much disrespect. Our neighbors were up until 2:00 in the morning laughing and yelling even though quiet time starts at 10:00 and no one enforced that rule. Bathrooms were disgusting. We will never return.

Mirror Lake is the terrific get away from the valley heat. When temps were in the 90's we were in the 70's. Disappointed that the roads have not been paved, and there was no running water in the campground - while they charge $24/night. Never had a campground that won't allow a check in until 3:00P.

Great place to camp. Very high country (11.0000 feet) so the temperature is very cool. We were there mid-July and the daytime high was about 68* and at night it got down to 45*. It rained a little each day but never a total wash-out. The lake is nice, good fishing, and lots of hiking available. We highly recommend this camping area.

We had a great time at the lake. We loved our spot. We were frustrated when we got to the campground and found out there was no water for washing hands, dishes etc. Then when we came home, we had received notice for our upcoming trip...3 days after we were already there, it also had no notice about no running water. If we had just received an email PRIOR to us going to the campground, we could've planned better for our trip by taking additional water instead of having to drive to Kamas for the water.

Beautiful campground and good amenities. I really wish they could get the bark beetle under control as it's killing all of the pine trees in the Uintah's.

From Salt Lake City, Utah, take I-80 east for approximately 30 miles to Exit 146 for Highway 40 toward Park City/Heber City/Vernal. Take Exit 4 onto Highway 248 toward Kamas. Take left onto UT 32 then right onto Highway 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway). Go 32 miles to campground.
From Salt Lake City, Utah, take I-80 east for approximately 30 miles to Exit 146 for Highway 40. Go south on Highway 40 for approximately 13 miles and take left onto UT Highway 32. Stay on UT-32 for 16 miles (there will be a 4-way stop in Francis.) Take right onto Highway 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) in Kamas. Go 32 miles to campground.
From Provo, Utah, take Highway 189 thru Provo Canyon to Heber City. At the junction with Highway 40 in Heber, turn left and stay on Highway 189 thru town. At the north end of Heber, turn right onto UT Highway 32. Stay on UT-32 for 16 miles (there will be a 4-way stop in Francis.) Take right onto Highway 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) in Kamas. Go 32 miles to campground.
