Deb and Del where wonderful, they checked on us everyday to see if we needed anything, they are wonderful camp host. We meet them a couple years ago and we look forward to seeing them every year. We spend a week up at SMITH AND morehouse every year. We love it. The road needs a little work, but we love the area. The camp sites especially 21 and 23 need some work a little more asphalt to the site, (their is a drop off and someone might turn the ankle or get hurt) we love this area and plan on coming every year.

We love Smith & Morehouse campground! This was our second year to camp there (2020 & 2021). The campground is nice, well kept and peaceful. Quiet hours are enforced. Deb & Del are the best campground hosts we have ever met! Highly recommend this campground. Be sure to go enjoy the reservoir while you are there!

The camp hosts were friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful.
Most of the northern loop camp sites are fairly wooded. The other two loops are fairly open, and more appropriate for larger groups.
There is a trail from the campsite to the lake. The boat dock to the reservoir is a car ride away.

Beautiful campground most of the sites in the lower campground are surrounded by trees so you don't even see your neighbor.
The lake is very low but was still great for kayaking, there is no water currently so you have to carry in your own but was not a problem because we knew ahead of time.
