Due to heavy rain for 2 days, we were unable to occupy our sites (our reservation was for 2 sites) the first night of our 2 night reservation. We contacted them to see if we could have our site for just the 2nd night. Understanding your policy of needing to occupy the first night, we were not comfortable driving over an hour just to find out we didn't have a place to camp or that we would have to pay again for the second night. Our communication was not responded to until Friday and our reservations were for Wednesday and Thursday, so that was hardly helpful and was not a personal reply buy rather just a reiteration of your policy. While we understand that that is your policy, we were just hoping for a more compassionate and personal reply. It was discouraging since we had family in town and were looking forward to a family getaway in the mountains.

The camp hosts at smith and morehouse campground were phenomenal! They had the cutest fairy garden set up at their campsite. Our kids loved to stop by to see it. The hosts were super friendly and outgoing. They checked in on us a couple of times to see how it was going. They even brought us a treat. We love smith and morehouse campground. This year was one of the best yet! We hope they will be there again next year.

Great location, sites are a bit small, but the descriptions on the web site Fairly accurate, the camp hosts Dale and Deb were great very friendly, and kept us up to date on a wildfire in the area, would definitely return, hopefully when the lake s full.

Love the Smith @ Morehouse campground! It is kept so clean and campsites don't seem to be as crowed or close together at the Ledgefork campground above the reservoir. One of the reasons we keep returning is because of the amazing camp hosts, Deb and Del. They make you feel like family with comments such as "welcome back"! Deb also has the most amazing fairy garden, and she lets the kids take glow in the dark fairy gems. Nice hikes in the area, and we enjoy kayaking on the reservoir. Good times.

We had reservations to stay at Smith and Morehouse July 26-August 1 2021. The camp was clean, the restrooms had hanging plants outside and air fresheners inside, always plenty of toilet paper, and the camp hosts, Del and Deb, were always friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely return.
