We have always loved camping at ledgefork campground. When I was lucky enough to find one available reservation it was for site 2 in smith and morehouse campground. Loved the site, camp hosts are great. I just can't believe how busy these 2 campgrounds have gotten. We used to be able to do walk up campsites in the middle of the week and have the camp ground to ourselves.
For anyone that has never been to either of these campgrounds, they are not made for huge trailers, 5th wheels or rvs. We have a 26 foot and some areas can be very tight.

Nicely situated near the reservoir, this camping area was beautiful, and our spot pretty private. The bathroom was close and had flowers and a deodorizer. The hosts made nice touches to the area, and were around plenty if you needed to talk to them. Rules were observed and people weren't noisy after hours. I swam in the reservoir, cool but not too cold in July. It wasn't that hot, either, as there was cloud cover and even though it was 100 in SLC, the high was only 80 while we were there.

The camp host and unbelievable. This is the second year in a row we have gone here and they go above and beyond. You can tell they truly care about this place and want the best for all visitors. From flowers outside the restroom, lending a hatchet to their lovely fairy garden. They really make this place special. Thank you both for you hard work.
