Great spot. Wish the Lakeside spots were easier to book and not first come first serve. Makes it hard for people to come from long distances, not knowing if they have a spot. But amazing other than that.

AHHHH, enjoyed the serene lake surrounded by the gentle breeze flowing through the pine trees. The day edged into night and the stars and galaxies made their way into view, Fell asleep under a moon lit night and it was just as peaceful as ever. Only to be awakened by a GARBAGE TRUCK AT 3:00 AM!!! COMPLETE WITH FLASHING LIGHTS AND THE BANGING OF THE DUMPSTERS. THREE IN THE MORNING!! I mean I get it. It isn't like there are a group of campers in a campground trying to sleep. THREE!! THREE in the morning!! DO BETTER!!! Did I mention it was THREE IN THE MORNING!!!!!

The campground at Washington Lake is by far the best and most well-developed along the road from Kamas to Mirror Lake and beyond to Evanston, WY. All sites are spacious and fully paved. In addition, the close proximity to the lake, along with access to many hiking trails, makes this an excellent location for a summer getaway. At an elevation of ten thousand feet, the temperatures during July and August are typically 20 to 30 degrees cooler than those in the Salt Lake Valley, with daytime temperatures typically in the 70s and nighttime temperatures in the 50s. The only complaint I have is the constant sound throughout the day of generators, which I guess you're going to encounter in most campgrounds with RVs. Hopefully, most RV owners will soon come to realize that lithium-ion power systems with solar charging capabilities all but eliminate the need to run gas-powered generators.

The campsite was clean and well taken care of. Our site had pretty good shade at times but alot of the sites we saw didn't. The Lake was in walking distance and the fishing was pretty good. The elevation is high enough that it stays very comfortable. It's a popular campground so you need to plan ahead. I plan to visit Washington Lake every summer.

Beautiful area. Would definitely return. Only downside was that it was not very clear which tent pad area was assigned to which campsite, which led to some confusion with neighbors. Appreciate the dumpster and the bathroom. Friendly camp hosts.

We were able to spend a whole week at Washington lake and loved it. The hosts are amazing and kind and do such a good job keeping the campground nice. We were able to spend two days in a first come first serve site and then moved to our reserved site. We really wish they had first come first serve sites all summer long.

- From Kamas, Utah, go east for 23.6 miles on UT-150 E to Forest Road 041. Watch for "Wash Lake" sign on the north side of the road. Go north on FR041 approximately a half-mile to the campground.

- This Campground is in Bear Country Store food and trash securely to avoid attracting wildlife -Failure to comply may result in fines up to $5,000, removal from your site and/or imprisonment A fed bear is a dead bear
- Dogs or Domestic Pets Owners must -Control dogs by a leash not to exceed six feet (6’) at all times -Clean up dog feces immediately -Limit two dogs per site Do not allow dogs to -Threaten or attack people/animals -Interfere with people, vehicles, or property -Cause damage to vegetation, habitat, or harass wildlife
- Gates open at, Gates close at, Camping is allowed only within the designated space provided. Do not go beyond the boundaries of site, Max occupancy is 8 people per single site, Horses/Off-road vehicles/motorized boats are prohibited, Leave No Trace, Put all trash in dumpsters, if provided, or properly stored in your vehicle or bear box, Remove all personal property and trash when leaving, Unclean sites will be reported to the District Ranger LEO, Leaving food/trash in an unoccupied site may result in a $5,000 fine, This is a 'pack it in, pack it out' facility; bring trash bags, Cleaning fish, animals, or bathing where drinking water is supplied is strictly prohibited, Fireworks/discharging of firearms or other explosives are prohibited in the campground is not allowed, No boisterous behavior. Keep noise at a reasonable level, No amplified music is allowed in USDA Forest Service campgrounds and facilities.
- There is a 2-night minimum stay on weekends; 3-night minimum stay on holiday weekends
- If you booked at a discount without a Senior or Access pass, you'll need to pay the difference in cash/check upon arrival. Only Senior or Access passes qualify for discounts and proof of ownership upon arrival is required
- There is no water available on site; bring all water needed for your stay including drinking water
- Trailers/Campers and RVs: Come with your RV/trailer water tank filled. Hooking up to spigots or the power in the restrooms, even for medical devices is strictly prohibited
- First Come First Served (FF) sites Opening date depends on snow conditions For reservable sites, reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance You must claim a FF site in person on the day you wish to check-in A site listed as FF does not guarantee availability, Recreation.gov does not update FF occupancy The only way to know if an FF site is available is to arrive at the campground on the day you plan to check-in Availability cannot be predicted Many sites are in remote locations, we cannot contact camp hosts about availability Recommended arrival times vary by day. Weekends and holidays typically fill more quickly To claim an FF site, you must be present, occupy the site, and pay at that time
- Extra Vehicle -$10 per vehicle, per day (paid on-site cash/check), parking is very limited, extra vehicles are not recommended Firewood -$9
- Please understand that camping is an outdoor experience; we do not give refunds for weather or natural conditions Cancellations within 24 hours prior to arrival date will forfeit the entire use fee and a $10 cancellation fee No-shows, early departures, or cancellations after the arrival date are not entitled to a refund Failure to arrive by 12pm the day after your scheduled arrival and don't cancel, you'll be charged a $20 service fee and forfeit the first-night fee
