The campground is beautiful. Convenient water stations, flushing toilets, and well kept campgrounds. The camp host was great. If you camp in the summer, you’ll definitely want shade. Other than that, we enjoyed camping in Pando and hiking around Fishlake.

The rehabilitated campsites are exceptionally well constructed. If the USFS does as well with the other campgrounds, they will get high marks from everyone. It's really nice to have level asphalt trailer/RV pads and good tent areas as well.
I understand that work was stopped for either lack of funding or inferior work by the initial contractor. I hope they'll get that straightened out and be able to open at least some of the Mackinaw campsites by next summer.
