The camping experience was good. But the boat ramp is a free for all. Campers decided to tie their boats off at the only dock at the boat ramp making it inaccessible to other people launching boats. I tried to beach my boat to load but it’s too shallow, you’ll have to jump in the water most likely if the dock is occupied. Also, people use the ramp as place to unload kayaks and other equipment making it hard to use. You’ll be dodging people swimming and doing as they please while trying to launch. On the weekends there are dozens of people using the ramp as a beach. No one is there to maintain any sort of order. Very displeased with the US forest service. Good luck trying to get ahold of them if you have any issues.

Awesome fishing, not to many people
We could not burn and no taps for water but still had an awesome time. Camphosy was great. Running water in restroom and flushing toilets.😁

My only issue with this place was the bugs at night. Otherwise it was awesome. Just make sure you’re indoors after the sun goes down

No water but they had flushing toilets and a sink in the restroom. Clean place, dock nearby and beach. No trees, bring your pop ups for shade. Camp host was cool. Loved how dark it was at night. I'd go again, we stayed Fri through Mo day

Let me just say this - Recreation.gov is a terrible third party website/company to deal with. They have expensive reservation and cancellation fees. One also has to wait all day on the phone (more than 45 minutes) trying to speak with another human being while listening to obnoxious elevator music and pre-recordings, just to be disconnected when their hours of operation end. Reimbursements also take unreasonable amounts of time to occur.

In terms of the actual campsite, well most of the them are compact and close together -they’re also far from the water’s edge which means you need to drive down if you have your arms full. The group sites are better but fairly expensive. Camp rules dictate dogs must be on a leash. Selfish people don’t care about rules though and they act all surprised when their ankle-biting family member attacks you and your children.

I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.

Not great for multiple RVs. On the water. Rocky and no dock so have to pull boat out every night.

We didn't care for this campground. There are 0 trees and it's very dry and hot. Spaces were tiny and there are fire ants everywhere. The other campers were very rude. We had a dog run into our campsite (our dogs were tethered) and the people acted like it was our fault their dog did it. No one waves to anyone when they walk or drive by. People were unpacking on Thursday as late as 2am, blaring music and unloading with no regard to others, there was a steady stream of campers coming in from about 7pm - 12pm and they were very loud. Since there aren't hookups anyway, do yourself a favor and go a little further down the road to 319 and camp on the beach by the water (for free!). There are plenty of spots down there with more privacy and trees.

If you are boating good access to the lake, The access to the lake as far as beach is rocky but better than nothing. We stayed here to be close to green river but it does lack trees so it does get hot in early August.
