We've been staying here for something like 14 years, but in recent years the experience has been less pleasant. For example we stayed there for 9 days in September and the showers were not cleaned once during our stay. The site itself was in need of attention with grease all over the camp table and garbage left around. We never saw the camp hosts, who used to be around the campground regularly fixing and attending to things. Things like toilets and sinks were out of action apparently indefinitely. The price of the sites has increased, but apparently staffing and service has been reduced as well. Thankfully the natural beauty of the area still remains.

One of my favorite places to camp! Be sure to explore Sheep's Creek Canyon nearby.

Beautiful location, nice sturdy firepits and picnic tables, amazing showers!
Loved all the pronghorns that wandered through the campground each day.
It was very unclear where we could pitch a tent at our campsite (B11) and we seemed to be the only spot without a wind barrier around our picnic table/firepit. Signs said we couldn't pitch our tent on the grass, but the only option was really sandy, hard dirt at the edge of our site.

For Starters, what a location! I also booked to be right at the front with the lake view.
however that particular night was a mini storm and very windy that was rocking our motorhome.

Do not plan to use the showers or restrooms. They are either closed or haven’t been cleaned.
