We have enjoyed this particular campground for many years. Unfortunately, it has only been going up in the daily rate but down in condition. The trash was so full you could not put any trash in until the trash came by 5 days into our reservation. We had to wade out to the dock almost waist deep to get onto the dock. This was very inconvenient for our older campers. We had to use long sticks to help guide us through the mud to get to the dock ramp. The weeds along the shore are so overgrown, I don't believe they have mowed them in years!! This does create a hazardous walk down the hill to get to the dock. I would hope that with the latest rate increase, that they will actually put some money towards upkeep. Also want to point out that I tried to cancel two days at the end of our trip and expected to receive a refund (plenty of time in my reservation window to do this without penalties) but apparently it was going to cost me $20 to cancel my two days and I would not get a refund....no refund! I asked why I am not getting my money back and they informed me that their computer system would not recognize the cancellation due the rate increase and that I was out of luck, but I could try and fight it!! WOW. One more thing – they need to do something with the gate because there is always someone coming in to check it out (private reserved site). We have a lot of children and dogs running around and not to mention a lot of equipment! When cars come in they do not turn around at the top of the camp or slow down but continue through camp at a speed that is not appropriate!!

Wow! What a disappointment. The dock wasn’t moored to the shore so we had to walk thru knee deep water to get to the dock. I understand that the water this year was higher than normal but move the dock. Flies were crazy in the camp, obviously campers are not using the facilities. Finally, this is a very expensive week and we expected privacy. The gate isn’t locked and we understand that you leave it that way with only a carabiner in the event of emergency or the trash pickup. That being said, people just come ripping thru the campground just to look. We have kids, dogs, cars, unlocked campers and this access is out of control. What not a realtor-like lock with a keypad. At least only reserved campers in any season would have the code rather than every single person that feels like entering a private access area. You have a sign at the gate that states this but you assume literacy and awareness. Really a bummer.

Excellent location, beautiful surroundings. Bathrooms were very dirty and absent of toilet paper until two hours after check in. Bathrooms were out of toilet paper again in three days and we never saw the hosts again. We cleaned and supplied the toilet paper the remainder of our stay of seven days. Way too expensive for that kind of service.

Site is beautiful but from there it went down hill… Garbage was completely full first three days, the bathrooms were never cleaned once the entire week stay and had zero toilet paper, the reservation sign had the previous occupant info and never changed for our reservation, and finally the boat dock entrance was so far under water you had to wade waist deep for 15’ to get do the dock. Made it difficult to even use the dock. Very disappointed with the management of the site.

Beautiful private cove with its own private dock which can accommodate two 25’+ boats at the current lake level. Private pit toilets and enormous pavilion with at least 6 large picnic tables, fire pit and very large grill make for a wonderful shade and rain shelter for even the largest of downpours and sunniest days. Many group camping options for larger RVs, trailers, campers, etc….including shady areas for tents. Super clean! Two Bar Verizon & ATT LTE signal with occasional disruptions in service. Would book this site again!
