We stayed here for two days, even though we had booked for three days and two nights. We left a night early because the bathroom at the campsite was quite far away. The reservation site claimed that drinking water was available. Still, it was only accessible at the designated group sites, making it difficult for those without a group site reservation to access it easily. We did manage to use it one morning when a group site left early. Campsite 26 did not have enough space for a tent that could accommodate six people. The campground's positive aspects included its quiet atmosphere, shady areas, and proximity to town. Would I go back? Maybe, because of the shade, but I would book a different site. Suggestions: Take your water to drink and cook. Take enough firewood to the camp. I did not see the host buy extra firewood, but the town is nearby, so you can go to Smith and purchase some. Places to visit while you are here include the Bear River Bird Migrator. The Mantua reservoir had too much algae to swim in, but people were boating, which looked fun.

We had group C at Box Elder campground. The site is wooded and beautiful. However, it is described for up to 120. There is no way 120 would be able to camp there. We had 95 in attendance. Most did not camp, they stayed in Brigham City or at KOA. The motorhome or trailer space is VERY LIMITED. It is basically the parking lot. One could fit perhaps 6 RVs, but they would be very, very close. That would leave room for very few other vehicles. Campsites are wooded, but very few in #. It has a nice area for games, a nice firepit, and group picnic table area which is not covered. However, the tables are in need of some TLC and we couldn't even use one table. Also, the group areas are not well deliniated. The campground hosts made us move a tent we had placed neawr the picnic tables because they said it was not our area.
The campground hosts were not very hospitable. They were nowhere to be seen when we checked in to help us and answer questions, They did show up when they had a complaint. We had 4 side-by-sides. 3 of which were licensed. We were told we could not ride them in campground area. Licensed vehicles can be driven anywhere. There is no turnaround, so you have to back up in parking lot to go out. Road is very narrow and entrance needs to be repaired. We did enjoy our time there, but absolutely not room for 120 to camp either in tents or RVs.

I love this campsite and plan on coming back for our annual camp out.
But this year things were a little different. One of the benches around the fire pit is broken and cut in half. Another bench by the table is broken and no longer attached to the metal frame. It almost fell off with our water and some kids sitting on it. There were thorny branches all over the ground that poked through a few people’s shoes. And the bathroom never got restocked with more hand soap, so make sure to pack your own.

Group site was roomy, quick access to restrooms, lots of benches and wide open spaces for tents. Would have been nice to have a more forested site, and the trail to the restroom led straight through our site, but once we were there, people went around.
