What Guests Are Saying
Box Elder Campground offers well-maintained sites with a friendly atmosphere and beautiful wooded surroundings, making it a favorite for many visitors. The campground hosts are generally helpful, and the facilities, including clean bathrooms and upgraded fire pits, add to the positive experience. However, some campers noted issues with space constraints for larger groups, limited access to drinking water, and the need for improvements in some facilities, such as picnic tables and restroom supplies.

Foliage is gorgeous, our campground was right next to a small creek. Was very peaceful, rangers were helpful, the toilets flush....will definitely look forward to next year!

Loved how woodsy the area is and the host is absolutely great! Just didn't like how close to the frequently driven dirt road the campsites are. It's like you pull in to your parking spot open your door and your firepit is right there!
But I did love how spaced out the sites are from each other and Manuta reservoir is a lovely short drive, less than 5 minutes, with a sandy/rocky beach that is great for the kids. Just a wonderful place!

We stayed at spot 001 with the teenage kids and our 4yr. old dog, in a 30ft. RV. Great spot with a little creek running right behind it; just enough for getting feet wet. Pretty private, since there was only one spot nextdoor to the east, but it does have the entrance on the other side.
We had no problems at all with noise from people or from the road, and with the amount of vegetation around it stayed cool. Would stay here again, and would recommend the campground!

The camp ground was clean. Shady and quiet. Not alot of traffic or dust. Facilities were well maintained and clean. Close to fishing at Mantua reservoir and ATV riding on the Willard Peak road.
