Ken's Lake is a great spot. The spaces between spots was generous so no one feels hemmed in like at so many campgrounds these days. We experienced, crazy winds, snow and temps in the high 70s all within 24 hours, adding to our "Spring Break" adventures.

The tent sites in Loop A are right on top of one another, as in the tent pads are 25' from each other. It is a poor design - there is a lot of room in the campground. No one monitors or enforces the requirement that it is supposed to be a tent site, or the vehicle length restriction, so people bring in RVs into the tent sites. Our experience was loud and crowded.

Ken's Lake offers basic camping requirements a designated campsite and trash disposal. Some sights are surrounded by trees offering shelter and privacy. Water and sewer disposal can be found at two locations in Mooab. The campsite offers close proximity (10 miles) to Arches National Park views of nearby mountains and is far enough from the road to be quiet. The site can be dusty with wind blowing through the valley.

Great campground, atmosphere and location. It is much nicer than it appeared on the website. It was helpful to be reasonably close to town without the noise and lights of it.
Ken, the camp host was also fantastic. We really appreciated his care and concern.
