Very nice campsite. Right across from the bathrooms and not too far from the lake. The bathrooms were well maintained—stocked with both toilet paper and hand sanitizer—and were some of the better smelling vault bathrooms I’ve been in. There’s a nice tree that can comfortably shade ~four people in camping chairs, so we didn’t need to pull out our shade shelter. The foot long stakes that we used for our tent were very difficult to drive into the gravel ground. My only concern was that the fire pit was pretty close to a field of dry grass, so we had to keep a close watch on our fire. If you’re interested in hammocking, there’s not a ton of readily available trees, but we didn’t need to find some near the creek after bushwhacking a little bit.

Campground was easy to locate and a convenient distance from Moab. Facilities were solid. It was HOT during our stay (early June) and campsites were very much exposed to the elements: no shade, blowing sand, etc. Fortunately, the lake is right “next door” so we spent the afternoons in the water waiting for the heat to let up. The lake was definitely a key positive of this campground.

Sites are fairly well spaced out. Nice hiking in the area. Campground is far enough away from Moab to avoid the hubbub. A stream flows nearby and the lake is great.

Our campsite was perfectly situated near the lake and close to the faux falls trail! We will definitely camp here again!
