Views were amazing. The campsites were very nice and bathrooms were clean. The locals however, came around every night with loud music, driving through the campsites, yelling and kicking up dust and even parking at the lake until all hours of the night playing loud music and partying. This was very off putting.

We have loved this campground for years but the new system of reservations is deplorable. Never met anything so complicated & confusing. Stats on the computer bear no resemblance to numbers on the ground. There are even first come sites showing reserved on line!???? Lots of people looking for sites which are allegedly reserved but are never occupied then 2 people with printed reservations for the same site. The new camp host will have a challenge on her hands.

We had a reservation for site 38A. When we arrived about 7pm there was a tent set up at the site, no vehicle. We weren't sure what to do so we found the camp host. She told us to set up our tent and, when the other people came back, to give them 3 other camp options. Long story short the couple drove in around 9 pm and the man was obviously looking for a fight. He cursed us out, threw a large rock at me and then threatened to get his gun! It was very upsetting and unnecessary. If the camp host had relocated us at 7 we would have been perfectly happy in another spot. As it was we were up all night waiting for this lunatic camper to come back and harass us. There must be a better way to handle reserved spots!

This site (22) might seem like being too close to the access road, and we were a little concerned about that, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it means that it’s furthest away from other campers.
The whole campground is incredible for stargazing and despite being close to Moab, the position of Ken’s Lake blocks it out completely and you feel secluded and remote.

I usually Tent camp and despite looking at the pictures they had, was not prepared for what was essentially a wide open field. This is likely fine for people with RVs but not fine for tents so much. Especially when driving winds and rain soaked my tent and bent the rods.
If you're Tent camping, there are some good spots but they are far back and I bet they fill up quick. Otherwise, if you're someone with a camper, it's a cheap field you can park in that has a vault toilet. That's about it.
