I wish we had known how far we needed to walk in from the parking area! We would have brought wagons or something.

Great site! The rock formations make for a gorgeous backdrop and you are only a short distance from the beautiful Needles overlook and about an hour from recreation options in Canyonlands, Arches, Moab, and the Abajo Mountains.

Some info that we would have found helpful:
-You can't camp right by your vehicle or park a camper in the group site. The tables, grills, and tent pads are a short walk (maybe 100 feet or so) in on a level path.
- There are 4 picnic tables scattered about and at least one grill and a fire ring (but I think even more than that), if I remember right.
- There are no shade structures, but there are some small Junipers (or some similar tree/shrub) that provide some shade. The rock formations provide shade in the morning, making it easy to sleep in.
- Fire restrictions were in effect while we were there in early June, prohibiting fires even in the provided fire rings.
- There were some biting gnats in early June, so you might want to bring some deet.
- There is potable water available in the campground, along with 3 pit toilets and a huge dumpster right where the parking for the group site is.
