Wonderful campground. Good separation between campsites, well maintained, easily accessible to many other attractions and national parks. At 8.7 ft, it was much cooler than the lower elevations around us in Utah. We had deer that frequently visited the campsite. We would definitely camp there again.

Very quiet, lovely campground, easy to get to. The short dirt road into the campground was no problem for our Prius. Negatives, were that although we indicated we were tent camping, the spot we had did not have a place for a tent, besides the gravel pull-in, so we had to set up our tent on the bumpy gravel. It seems like most of the spots are set up for RVs rather than tents. Our neighbor RV-user used his generator outside quiet hours, which was super-annoying, as otherwise the campground was very peaceful.

Positives, nice cool weather, clean restrooms, running water. Would like to return in the fall when the aspens are changing color.

Buckboard was awesome! The camp was super clean. The campsites were spaced out nicely. This was our base camp for Arches and Canyonlands. It was much cooler than camping in the Moab area. The drive was 50 mins to Arches and 1.5 hour drive to Canyonlands.

Absolutely gorgeous campground with aspens and deers.

The driveway is a bit bumpy, but very doable.

Great, quiet campground in the mountains offered cool nights after hot days in the high desert! Sites are well-spaced apart.

Beautiful small campground with adequate privacy. Clean bathrooms and water. It really doesn't feel like you are 6 mi out from the main town. Still close enough to Moab to enjoy Arches and other outdoor activities. We enjoyed walking around Lloyd Lake in the evening. I will absolutely stay here again!

Clean and beautiful campsite! The mountains outside of Monticello, Utah are absolutely gorgeous and full of wildlife! We saw tons of turkeys, squirrels, and deer. We also saw a bunch of cattle too. A high elevation campsite nestled in the woods surrounded by pine and aspens. Super pretty! Got cold at night but not too bad for September. Picnic table, fire ring, grill, tent pad, and very clean pit toilets. What more could you ask for! I used to hate paying for campsites but as I get older it is nice to know a reserved one is there waiting at the end of the day! Grab yourself a burger at the Granary in town, get a six-pack at Maverik, and head up to this beautiful campsite. Well worth it!
