This is a beautiful park, small and quite. We very much enjoyed our stay. Out site #6 was very steep, so we'll select a different site next visit.
If any work is scheduled for this park, site #6 needs to be dug into the hill more so that it is not so steep. It was really scary in our 5th wheel. We could not even come close to leveling the trailer.

Great campground! The trees were beautiful and the sites were private. Clean bathrooms.

Incredible setting in aspens with clean bathrooms. We find that we are enjoying smaller campgrounds like this that has minimum amenities for the RV folk. Get tired of listening to generators all day and nite.

We typically enjoy camping in National Forests and Buckboard had decent facilities. Though it seemed like somewhere teens from town fled to. The beautiful aspen trees had a lot of graffiti etched into them, which was sad to see. The campsites were a decent size, but we’ll plan farther in advance and stay in Canyonlands NP.

Never saw camp host - toilets were not cleaned and ran out of toilet paper 3 days into our stay.
The camp itself was shaded and out spot was fairly level.

We had a lovely time at Buckboard. I would have given the campsite a 5 start rating except for the fact that they only have trash picked up once per week and do not have a camp host on site.
We did not see our camp host until the morning we were checking out. She was quite helpful and friendly.
There was a group that had camped there for a few days and they filled the one trash bin, so all other trash was going outside. The campsite has deer and possibly bears, raccoons and other wildlife.
The vault toilet we used was clean (there were 2, we steered cleared from the vault toilet the group used 😅).
Our site was perfect, except for the fact that our tent pad was on a slope but we were in a forest.
There are a tremendous amount of bugs, of all types, including ticks, so be prepared for that.
The campsite is in high elevations so be prepared to be a little winded and HYDRATE. Altitude sickness is a possibility here if you don't hydrate.
The location can't be beat, we would definitely stay again.

Spend several days on site 6 and enjoyed being in the large aspen trees. Lots of deer in the area. Nice and cool in the evening and night.

Buckboard is spectacularly beautiful. The layout provides plenty of privacy between sites and access to services. Highly recommend the it.
