About Hamburger Rock Campground
Hamburger Rock Campground is a good option for visitors wishing to recreate in the Indian Creek area of Bears Ears National Monument or be close to the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The campground is located north off the Needles Highway (accessed from Utah State Route 211), approximately 3 mi southeast of Canyonlands National Park and 17 mi northwest of Newspaper Rock. The campground provides 10 campsites that each feature a tent/trailer space, a picnic table, a fire ring, and vault toilets. Each campsite can hold 10 people and 2 vehicles. There is no drinking water at the campground. Reservations are not available for camping at this location. Campsites are available on a first come, first served basis upon arrival at the self-register kiosk at the site. The Indian Creek area is generally primitive and undeveloped, with few services.

#5 Park next to the bush (shade til 830am+ in sept) if you like to sleep in (me). Panoramic views on top of formations, watched epic storms go through! Breath taking views. Mostly quiet but understandably people check out the formations. Needles visitor only 10min away. (LOVED THE NEEDLES AREA, no through road to island in the sky, by the way, whole different district). Vaults very clean. Basically no service here on tmobile or Verizon(1 LTE) but exceptional starlink. Will be back!

Sweet spot to camp while exploring the Needles district. Quick drive to the visitor center. Pit toilets were decent and appreciated. We got a site with a large, flat tent pad that was helpful for pitching our tent.

Beautiful campground right near needles district of Canyonlands! Our tent site was not flat but sufficed for one night of camping. Had a great time scrambling up the hamburger rock in the morning before heading out!

Turn west off U.S. Route 191 onto Utah State Route 211 and travel approximately 29.1 mi. Turn onto the Lockhart Basin Rd on the north side of the highway. The campground is located 1.2 mi down the maintained, gravel road on the east side of the road.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
