Como Springs Resort

The location is fantastic, just about right off the freeway, 4 minute drive to town, yet still feels secluded enough. The riverfront sites are nice. For a weekend it was very quiet and calm. The downside is the picnic tables are wobbly, the bridge to cross into the campground is loud so having the spot next to it can get frustrating and the sites feel very very close together. The also noticed the tent camping area is basically just an open field.

I would not recommend staying here. From the very beginning it was downhill. They lost our reservation for a tent site. They did let us stay, even though their booking system showed no availability. All other campsites were open. There wasn’t a place to wash dishes. No water was available other than in the tiny sink in the bathroom that was barely bigger than elbow to elbow. The toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet so we all had a hard time sitting without sliding off or into the commode. The shower room was locked and we were told they had lost the key. It was a combo lock. Curious, huh?

This is a bit of a mix of a review.
The location was nice, not to far away yet secluded enough to give you the out of town feeling.
The reason for the negative part of the review.
1. We reserved spot 26 online a more expensive spot, showing it was a larger spot and alongside the river.
2. We paid the additional $10 to make sure we got the spot we wanted as it states on the website "reserving gets you a spot not necessarily the one you want unless you pay an additional $10"
3. We arrive to Como springs and check-in with the camp host, to be show spot 26 was half taken by another travel trailer and had multiple vehicles parked in the remainder of spot 26. Also had camp items (BBQ, camp chairs, toys) and a motorcycle spread throughout the remainder of spot 26.
4. The camp host said to give them some time and they would move everything.
A little bit of a joke to me.
Half the spot was taken by another trailer, camp items spread all over and multiple vehicles parked throughout the remainder of the spot.
We proceeded to ask if there was another spot available as we didnt want to deal with a cramped spot and all the "items" all over our campsite.

We want to give this place another try in the future to see if we have a better experience.

The Wife and I are full-timers who travel throughout the intermountain west. Our year consists of chasseing the fall color changes South for the winters and then following the spring budding North. This year (2026) saw a good deal of warm weather, punctuated by periods freezing temps and snow, so we stayed at Como Springs for a little over a month, before heading out for Idaho.
The small town of Morgan, Utah is truly a nice place. The people are friendly and old school American Spirit. This was also true for the staff of Como Springs Resort (don't get confused by the name, it's nice but not a Resort campground. It is a historic mineral springs and from the late 1800's to the 1980's it was an actual destination resort). I want to give a shout out to Laura, Patches, Brady, and Phillip for their hard work and accommodating customer service.
The park is spacious with pull throughs and back-in's, very easy to navigate inside the park. Sites are grass or wood mulch service which we found to be fine with our big ol' Brinkley. The bridge what crosses the Weber River and is the entrance to the park is very narrow (I would estimate about 10 or 11 feet wide). It's listed as a 10 ton load bridge and we had no problems going in or out with our rig. I've seen some comments about it scaring folks from wanting to cross it but, again we had zero problems with it.
There are 30 and 50 amp sites as well as a number of tent or dry camp sites. The electric, water, and sewer hook ups worked fine the entire month. There is a small building with several restrooms and one shower on site. We never used it but we saw a number of people going in and out.
The only CONN's we had were the proximity to the I-84 and an active railroad line about a quarter mile away. But, to be fair, so many of the RV parks across the West are even closer to the train tracks or highways. We will be back to Como Springs anytime we pass through that area.

We loved this campspot. The people here were so nice. Fishing great, right on the river. The traffic is close but it didn't bother us at all. Definitely will come back.
