Granite Flat in American Fork Canyon is a beautiful campground, well-maintained with friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. It offers a great location near Tibble Fork and Silver Lake, making it ideal for outdoor activities and family enjoyment. American Fork canyon is beautiful any time of year. Granite Flat is situated about a mile up the road from Tible Fork reservoir, and is popular to campers wanting to recreate at the reservoir. If you take a right just before entering the campground, the road will lead you to Silver Lake recreation area.
With the numerous dirt roads near the campground available for ATVs and dirt bikes, the campground itself can get obnoxiously noisy on weekends and holidays.
The best time to enjoy the beauty and quiet of camping at Granite Flat is to go Monday thru Friday morning.

The campground is nice and good location but this specific site wasn’t great. Not a lot of shade and can see straight to the neighboring site. There was also trash everywhere when we arrived that we had to pick up.

Camp ground hosts were pleasant . Always toilet paper at the bathrooms. They did have more flies than normal, but people can’t keep lids shut. Our spot was clean.

We have been camping in Granite Flats for 12 years. Every year the rate increases and when asked why, we are told for park maintenance and upkeep. And for 12 years the same fire pits need repair, the picnic table are peeling and falling apart and the latrine doors ar bent out of shape. So where is the money going?

SITE 50. Lots of shade and privacy. Parking is tight but I did manage to get my 32' trailer backed in along with my Ram megacab truck. Leveled pretty well. There is space for a tent to be setup. It was nice to have the sounds of stream nearby and was close to bathroom. Host was nice and pleasant.

We go to this campground every year. We love its proximity to the reservoir, but we also love the sites themselves. My kids love to explore the woods.

Tibble Fork reservoir is close proximity. Timpanogos Cave is always fun to visit.

Site #50 was lovely but it does not have space for a tent that is larger than a 2-3 person tent. We had a large tent and were unable to stay at this site. The campground host worked with us to find another available site that would work with a 6 person tent.
