We have been coming here for about 30 years. As with most campgrounds experiences will vary, mostly due to maintenance and visitor issues. Our camp hosts were excellent, conscientious, and committed. This goes a long way to making a good experience.

The area was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were clean. Bathrooms were kept up nicely. Hosts paid attention to detail and were very helpful. We'd definitely plan on camping here again!

The campsites were clean and well-maintained. We were a group of four adults and three children - our grandchildren and their parents - and everyone was happy. Plenty of area for younger kids to safely explore near the campsite and a short walk or drive to the lake. The lake was beautiful - quiet in the morning for walks or fishing and lively in the afternoon. We love this campground!

We live to camp at Payson lakes. The camping spots are pretty and shady. I'm in a wheelchair and can go clear around the lake. We love to watch the kids and grandkids play in the lake and they take their canoes. We used to camp every year. Missed because of weather and the fire a couple of times.

Payson lakes is always a fun camping spot - the trail around the lake, fishing and swimming.

The camp hosts were polite and thoughtful, they went out of their way to help us feel welcomed. We loved the area and plan to return.
