Insanely beautiful. Site 34 is pretty secluded which was super nice. Had a moose walk right past our campsite one morning. Will be coming back for sure!

The groundsman was the highlight of our time as there was still someone set up in our site when we arrived and he began moving and tearing down their camp so we could start setting up. The site itself was beautiful and we had a moose walk right through to boot. We will be back!

The campground was clean and spacious. We saw a deer enter our campground. The nearest bathroom sinks didn't work but had working water spigot on the outside.

Great campground. Our site was very clean upon arrival, as well as the rest of the campground. Bathrooms were super clean and always working. Overall, a great experience, and we will definitely be back next year.

We very much enjoyed staying here. I do think that some of the sites need some work, for instance, ours didn’t have a table that was usable, and the grill was completely knocked apart. The best thing is that the sites are very large and spacious and the bathrooms are mostly clean. They definitely could use a little bit more work, like having underneath the front of the toilet’s wiped down because those were filthy, and emptying the trash more regularly. I like that there are flushing toilets and sinks. Pretty much the biggest concern I had was that we had neighbors next to us with the dog that shouldn’t have had a dog, and they were definitely ignoring the quiet hours, and I don’t think anybody said anything to them. Maybe some more patrolling would be helpful. It would also be nice for someone to go through and make sure that all the trash is cleaned up. There wasn’t any big trash, but there was lots and lots of little bits and pieces throughout the area. Still, it is beautiful, and the campground is a very nice one.

We have been camping at Redman for over 10 years. My kids loved it when they were little and they still love it now that they are all grown up. There are many great camp sites and it is in a perfect location if you want to hike some of the trails up at Brighton.

Stayed in site 6 - it was an easy spot to set up and camp and the grounds were fantastic, great coverage of pine and a creek behind. The site is across from the restrooms and next to the group site so I can see this site getting a fair bit of foot traffic behind and to the side as it is more or less on a corner with the driveway/parking for site 789 which is the group site on one side and the main CG road on the other. The restrooms were very basic, be prepared to bring your own soap, towel and mirror and the women's restroom needed a bit of attention. There is great potable water available outside the restroom, which was nice to have.
Since the CG is so near to Solitude and the highway there is a decent amount of road noise, but that dies down around 9pm and starts back up around 7am.
All in all a good stay and a great jumping off spot to head to Deer Valley or to ride the local trails.

From I-215, take the 6200 South exit and travel a mile east to Wasatch Blvd. Take Wasatch Blvd a mile south to junction with Big Cottonwood Canyon/Highway 190. Make a left at the junction and travel up Big Cottonwood Canyon for 14 miles to the campground.

- Gates operate from 7am to 10pm; maximum 8 people per site; several strict regulations on noise and waste apply.
- FF sites require in-person check-in; reservations must be made 5 days in advance, and availability is uncertain.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Wildlife & food storage
- Keep food and trash secure to avoid wildlife attractions; violations can lead to fines or removal.
Utilities
- No water provided on-site; bring all necessary water and trash bags.
- RVs and trailers must arrive with filled water tanks; no hooking up to spigots.
Pets
- Only service animals are allowed; fines for pets or livestock may apply.
Safety & rules
- Minimum stays: 2 nights on weekends, 3 nights on holiday weekends.
- Users assume responsibility for their safety and property; Utah Recreation is not liable.
Site types & loops
- Off-road vehicles are prohibited in the canyon area.
Fees & deposits
- Extra vehicle fee is $10 per day; firewood costs $9.
- Discounts require proof of Senior/Access pass at check-in; otherwise, pay the difference in cash/check.
