Beautiful location, a very spacious campsite but the bathrooms are not well maintained. There is no designated sink for dishes so the water refill station smells of food. Would have been nice to have trees for hanging a hammock but all were labeled as not for hanging hammocks.

Location of the campground and this particular site (59) were perfect. Just a short walk to the visitor center and Zion Outfitter for showers. The bathrooms could be improved (only 1 stall door locked out of 3 in the women's bathroom nearest the campsite), and the site had several ant hills to avoid, but we knew to look out thanks to other reviewers.

Very solid camp site and good fire pit. A good amount of space for two people, although could get a bit crowded with more. Over all a beautiful view of the canyon and great proximity to shuttles that go up the canyon as well as to the park entrance to Springdale. The only think I’d want more of is privacy. Since there is not much vegetation and the other campsites are in close proximity (within approx. 10ft on either side) it felt a little too populated.

Very popular campground because it’s a great location. Close to the shuttle buses, and close to town.

Very good campground, well placed inside the NP. Be careful to anticipate the reservations, a lot of people want a site !
Restrooms were quite clean. There's also a water spring but no shower. You can go to the visitor center and shops by foot crossing the campground.

We reserved site 14 based on our vehicle type and dimensions. Due to traffic we arrived after dark and found it was the worst site I’ve ever had to back into, basically inaccessible to even the smallest trailer. It was horrible to get into, narrow road and narrow entry plus big rocks on either side to protect a drainage pipe even narrower than the driveway entry. Don’t use this site unless you’re a tent or car camper or maybe a small camper van.

We had a monumental car breakdown while at our campsite and had to overstay our reserved and allotted 4 days to up to 10 days. The on-duty rangers as well as the camp hosts were MOST accommodating and helpful which allayed some of our anxiety. No one made us feel guilty or tried to chase is out. They were able to make other arrangements for those who were supposed to be in our same site following our original 4-day reservation. Also, a beautiful location.

Zion is a beautiful canyon with spectacular hikes. But the south campground is in need of repairs. One on the toilets was closed along with the fresh water supply. The nearby toilet needs better attention to cleaning and is overdue for an update. There are many dead and dying trees that are at risk of injuring someone. One on them fell during our stay, fortunately without incident.
The paved hiking/biking trails are great especially in the early mornings when there is less traffic. We hiked from the last shuttle stop back to the campground most of it along the river. About 2 miles of the hike where on the road. It would be nice to have more trails along the river.

My first time at this this campground and it was the perfect location. Next to the Virgin River and popular trail. The bathroom was clean and the campsite was roomy and spacious. This is the campground I will always stay at. FYI I was there in mid October and stayed at site #29. I loved that my site got that morning sun on a chilly morning. I will probably choose that site again in the future!
