It’s a campground with beautiful surroundings. The toilets are pretty dang smelly; camp as far from them as you can. I was in site 4 and do note: there is not a tent spot. This site is best for a van or camper. I slept in the back of my car. It was 108° when I pulled in, late afternoon, and my site was full sun. It finally got shaded about an hour before dark.
For $15, it’s a steal. The trails are fun. There were some biting bugs at night.

It's a nice small campground, not so many spots. We had a good stay. Restrooms could've been cleaner. A Raccoon and some other wild animals came very near to us at night - something one could be vary of... Has water spigots and fireplace and a pretty night sky view. There's some trails as well and dinosaur tracks nearby.

I really enjoyed our site at #3. We had an amazing view and bats were plentiful when the sun was going down. It is much hotter under the shade structure since it is made of metal. The vault toilets REALLY need to be emptied more often than they are during the hotter months of summer. That was rough for my daughters which are usually good about roughing it.
My biggest complaint is that inconsiderate day use people came thru and woke us up before the sun was even up and were so loud. They were there before the allowed time
I look forward to visiting again earlier in the season when there is still water flowing between the Red Cliffs

Red Cliffs is a beautiful hidden gem off of the road, and I wouldn't have chosen another place to spend a camping trip, it's fantastic there.
