About Red Cliffs Campground

Red Cliffs Recreation Area includes a campground, day use areas, a non-motorized trail system, and interpreted public use sites. Dinosaurs left their footprints, now visible in the sandstone. Ancestral Puebloans lived here in the 10th century, growing corn, beans, and squash along Quail and Leeds Creek. Mid-19th century pioneers farmed here, supplying the area’s silver miners with food. Located within the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, the Recreation Area is managed to conserve and protect the natural and cultural resources of the public lands.

Beautiful trail. Go when it rains. Solid, clean campsite. 40 mins from Zion. Beautiful soft Red Sand.

**Watch out for police on the road before the tunnel. There is an Officer Ober there and he is disgusting. Had a whole conversation about our trip, what we were doing, we were being friendly between us. Shared our happiness for the outdoors and the A Hole decided to give us a ticket. Over don’t make small talk and ask about my life story if you’re just going to ticket us.

Blown away by how gorgeous Red Cliffs is. Site has shade structure, picnic table and fire pit. The views from the site and the ability to hike from the site are incredible. No service with Verizon but we had a mini starlink. We were in a campervan.

There was a red ant nest near the tent pad, so we decided not to stay at the site due to safety reasons. There was no one there to contact nor was I able to get a hold of anyone on the phone. However, someone did call back the next day, but could not offer a refund of any sort for our 2 night trip

Unfortunately, it is the changing times and Redcliff’s has been discovered and is very crowded!! we were here 28 years ago and 22 years ago and it was fabulous. Campground is great. They are just way too many day Use people hiking.

We had a lot of fun. So much to do without even leaving the campground. Trailheads, rocks to climb, bathrooms, etc. We took our four kids and had a great experience.

The campground is nice. We did find several of the water hydrants we shut off and not useable. The restrooms were a mess and had no TP when we arrived, but that was after heavy weekend visitation. The CG shares the toilets with the day use visitors. The park is a natural area and we enjoyed that aspect of it.

Super awesome campground. A little bit close to your neighbors, though, which made it a little tricky to sleep, but overall gorgeous location, lots of hikes, and very affordable for a little camping getaway.

Bathrooms were atrocious; and not in a good way. No paper both days we were there and look like they had not been serviced in a while. Although the cleaning list on the back of the door stated otherwise, it was obviously inaccurate and the person signing it in no way did anything to the bathrooms!

The camp site was a mess with a lot of litter when we got there. Outhouses poorly cleaned. Very busy and loud on weekends. But, a truly spectacular setting to camp!

The place is really great but the water wasn't working at the camp spot at the time.
