About Red Cliffs Campground

Red Cliffs Recreation Area includes a campground, day use areas, a non-motorized trail system, and interpreted public use sites. Dinosaurs left their footprints, now visible in the sandstone. Ancestral Puebloans lived here in the 10th century, growing corn, beans, and squash along Quail and Leeds Creek. Mid-19th century pioneers farmed here, supplying the area’s silver miners with food. Located within the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, the Recreation Area is managed to conserve and protect the natural and cultural resources of the public lands.

We love it here! Great, small campground with beautiful views! Our spot was quite slanted and had to use all of our leveling pads to get flat, but other than that, it's a great place!

Beautiful campground. Site 3 is definitely the most secluded. Great for tent. Would definitely come back.

The spot we reserved had been taken by someone else before we got there. It appears that no reserved signs were posted at the site and it seems to be a trend with other campers having the same problem.

The campground was great the only issue we had was we were unable to connect the water to our mini trailer due to the adapter that is on the water faucet supply. This is not your standard garden hose connection .We had to use buckets and a funnel to fill the water tank on the trailer. We did not aloud the issue to ruin our stay. We manage to improvise under the circunstances and had a very nice time hiking and resting later during our two days stay. It is nice and quite place.

The park is very pretty but the camping is questionable at best. We have a small travel trailer, 20 foot. Site 5 was plenty big enough but it was too steep to safely level the trailer. We ended up not staying and loosing money by having to go to a park in Cedar City. That ended up costing us 70 more dollars. Not real happy. If you do plan on coming here, do your homework. There aren't very many sites where a smallish trailer will work. Also there is a tunnel you will need to go through that is 11 ft 9 in tall.
