Capital reef resort was conveniently located just outside Capital Reef National park. The resort offered regular hotel rooms, cabins, TeePees and covered wagons. The amenities included a Gym, Jacuzzi, pool, Laundry, ice, vending, fire pit, restaurant, and a gift shop. The hotel rooms were very clean and well stocked with Linen, personal toiletries and a coffee station. Our room had a balcony and the views were amazing. See pics below. The resort also offered llama corral and horse stables. The price was reasonable, considering it was located just outside a national park. This is a family owned resort and well worth the stay.

We stayed at Capitol Reef Resort when we visited Capital Reef National Park. Capitol Reef Resort in Torrey, Utah, delivers a memorable stay just one mile from the entrance to Capitol Reef National Park, making it an ideal base for exploring this quieter gem of the Mighty Five. Set on 58 acres amid stunning red rock cliffs, the property offers diverse accommodations: traditional guest rooms and suites, cozy standalone cabins with porches, and unique glamping options like Conestoga wagons and teepees that add a fun, immersive Western flair. The views are breathtaking—sweeping vistas of rugged canyons and buttes from most rooms, especially magical at sunrise or under the brilliant night skies perfect for stargazing. Guests praise the spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and relaxing amenities like the outdoor pool and hot tub, ideal after a day of hiking. The on-site restaurant serves hearty, homestyle meals with friendly service, and staff provide helpful local tips. While some note the traditional hotel rooms feel a bit dated in decor, the overall experience shines through the prime location, peaceful atmosphere, and variety of lodging choices. It's especially great for families or those seeking something beyond standard hotels. Highly recommended for a relaxing, scenic escape in Utah's red rock country—perfectly blending comfort, adventure, and natural beauty.

Beautiful location, close to many attractions, lots of wild life from our back patio. The room was nice, but nothing to get excited about. The resturant was just ok. Since it was winter many things were closed for the season. We realized that before we went and prepared. Having stayed at the sister resorts on Florida and Wyoming we were expecting the same quality, sadly it is not up to those standards.

Capitol Reef Resort is the perfect place to lay your head if you’re exploring the nearby parks! We stayed for two nights while visiting Capitol Reef and before heading to Bryce… our visit was very pleasant and we had no real complaints but the pictures on the website depict a different stay than what is offered. It is not a fancy stay by any means but it gets the job done. The pool area leaves a little more to be desired and the hot tub is old and dated and small but we enjoyed spending time in it admiring the views after our long hikes at the park! The restaurant on site was no frills but the food was good and the portions were very large!!! Overall Torrey is very sleepy town, if you are looking for anything exciting you will not find it here… The views of the red rocks cannot be beat though! It’s better, in my opinion, than even Sedona, Arizona and WAY more peaceful! We will stay again when we repeat our Utah road trip.

This is a lovely place. Not posh or upscale, but perfect for the location. The staff were friendly, funny, and helpful. The food was surprisingly good, and you cannot find a better location for Capitol Reef or Bryce Canyon actually.

The drive on 12 is amazing and this resort literally blew everything in Bryce Canyon away. Comfort, staff, food, drinks, absolutely worth the drive from Bryce Canyon.
