We stayed in cabin #8 for 3 nights May into June 2026. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Thousand lakes. The property is well taken care of, with a large grass activity area next to a smaller but heated pool. The check in office also has a great gift shop with a variety of items for purchase including snacks, basic supplies, clothing, bags/purses, and more! We didn’t get a chance to try the on site BBQ open evenings but it smelled great! Staff were all friendly and courteous as well!

Cabin #8 was ready at check in time and like the other deluxe and super deluxe cabins they were on the east end of the property. Laundry and additional restrooms are right next door and the central amenities are only a few minute walk. The amenities and style of the deluxe cabin is simple, but was clean, functional, and worked well for our needs. There is a mini fridge (with freezer shelf), microwave, A/C, and heater, but no coffee option. There is also a bathroom with stand up shower. WiFi was a bit spotty, with periods of connectivity and other times where it lagged. Verizon service did have 2-3 bars of LTE. My only negative marks would be the mattress were a bit firm and the heater was a bit noisy plus ranged about 5 degrees between when it turned on and off.

Location is great, only a couple minutes drive to Torrey, and 20 minutes to some great Capitol Reef landmarks. I would stay here again and would love to try the BBQ next time.

We were in Site M6 near the bathrooms on the far side of the park from the office/pool. Every day people walked through the middle our site on at least 10 occasions. On Memorial Day it was like a trail of ants that we couldn’t exterminate. The management was nice when we told them about it, but didn’t do anything meaningful to stop it and it felt constant. We even put our picnic table in the way of what people seemed to think was a public walkway to the bathroom through our site. We ended up leaving 2 days early because we were so sick of people not respecting our space.

Other critiques are that the water pressure is very irregular and we rented a jeep but needed to cancel. The problem was that they didn’t explain the cancelation policy well. They kept $25 when we cancelled 4 days in advance and that was not explained when I booked 2 days before.

We would return if we didn’t end up in that horrible site.

We found the perfect place to host our family reunion. Nice RV sites for the old people and tent sites for those of us rugged/cheap enough to rough it. Amazing large grassy area for yard games, a heated pool and nice bathrooms/ showers. We will definitely come again.

Super cute little camping cabin. The beds were comfy and the grounds were clean and quiet. It was nice to have a shower and a roof after many days of tent camping! Everyone was friendly and helpful. (We hope you found that little Bobo doggie a home!!)

Very Nice. Great views. The facilities are well kept, it’s a clean place. Great gift shop. Staff was very nice and helpful. WiFi was better than most. Impressed. If you have a high clearance SUV you need to do the Cathedral Valley Loop. (RAV4 or equivalent). Don’t be scared of the river crossing, piece O cake
