What Guests Are Saying
Fruita Campground is a beautiful, family-friendly site nestled among fruit orchards and stunning red cliffs, offering a peaceful atmosphere and excellent hiking opportunities. Clean bathrooms, friendly hosts, and unique amenities like fruit picking contribute to a memorable camping experience. While some sites require improvements for better tent setups and there are occasional issues with flies, overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to Capitol Reef National Park.

This is a gorgeous campground. Large spaces under a canopy of shade trees. Paved level sites. A nice walking path along a creek. We saw mule deer in the evening. Walk to the homestead near by to see horses and purchase our that was quite good. By far one of the best parks we have visited.

Lovely campground with plenty of space and trees providing shade. Restrooms were clean and even heated. The proximity to the Gifford House and temptation of fresh cinnamon rolls every morning was something I couldn't resist. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful.

Tent-only sites all in very large open area with several big trees for shade. Restrooms and pit toilet not far away. WiFi only in small location near sites and around visitor center entrance.

Fruita Campground felt like camping in a desert dream. It’s tucked between red cliffs and lush orchards, so you’ve got this amazing mix of rugged and peaceful. The site was spacious and green, with deer casually walking by in the evenings. No showers, but clean restrooms and drinking water made things easy. And being so close to trails and that little Gifford House pie shop? Huge bonus. Easily one of the most charming campgrounds I’ve ever stayed at.
