Clean bathrooms, friendly hosts, and unique amenities like fruit picking contribute to a memorable camping experience. There's really not much around the area, but the campground in the park did the job. Amazing view of the stars at night! Bathrooms were decent, not too many people in the campground. Drove to the end of the scenic drive and on the dirt road and hiked out the trail at the end. Very cool! Neat history of the area, too.

Great park. Although all the sites were reserved there were 6 or 7 that were vacant over the night I was there.

Our family was lucky enough to get 2 night here for our spring break. We did the tent only area with our three kiddos. It was quiet, beautiful, good bathrooms and so fun. We did 3 good hikes and saw arches, waterfalls, and beautiful landscapes. I hope we will be back soon.

We really loved this campground. The setting was very restful, with the sites nestled among the trees. We were in Loop B, site 33, which was great, since it was up against the fence separating Loops B and C, and gave a big swath of open space behind the site. The bathrooms were easy to access and had dishwashing sinks, which is fantastic. The first night we were there, the campground was absolutely silent by around 8pm, and the next night by 9pm. Our neighbors were very nice -- what a great vibe! One bonus of this campground is that you can walk over to the Gifford House in the morning for pie and cinnamon roles (opening at 9am, I think). A line tends to form right at 9am, but if you wait until 10am or so, the line disappears (at least in our experience).

Great dry camping campground. Sites are spread out, deer come through camp in the evening. Get the fresh pies at the Gifford House in the morning before they sell out by noon.

We enjoyed being in the apple orchards! Because the temperatures were record breaking at 88F in March, it was pretty miserable. With the generator restrictions being so rigid, we weren't able to run the air conditioning during the day when we needed it the most. The campsites were spaced apart from each other at a good distance.

Beautiful campground, hikes and good pie. Get in line for pie around 8:45. Site 50 felt a bit crowded as it’s across from the walk-in site parking. 7 vehicles including two truck campers were there this time and many people passing through on the way to the bathroom. Well shaded site. Front of the B loop not far from the RV station and dumpsters.

Fruita was our first stop on a weeklong tour of Utah’s national parks and it did not disappoint! Don’t hesitate to book this campground. It has everything we needed and was a much less crowded experience, even over spring break. Being able to hike the Cohab Canyon trail right from the campground was amazing. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The WiFi worked well when we needed it and the pies from Gifford Homestead were incredible!!

A beautiful campground. One of my nicest camping experiences in the many national parks I've visited. The location makes it easy to access other parts of the park, and it's especially nice to be near the river.
