What Guests Are Saying
Fruita Campground is a beautiful, family-friendly site nestled among fruit orchards and stunning red cliffs, offering a peaceful atmosphere and excellent hiking opportunities. Clean bathrooms, friendly hosts, and unique amenities like fruit picking contribute to a memorable camping experience. While some sites require improvements for better tent setups and there are occasional issues with flies, overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to Capitol Reef National Park.

Awesome campground! Loved the trees and the great shade, we did not have rain but might get very muddy in rainy days. The restrooms could be cleaner and improved however great experience... Hopefully showers will be available within camp

Very nice campground with spacious campsites. If you have an RV and need generator make sure you book loop C as Loop A and B don't allow generator use. There's lots of shade so solar won't help much with power. Other than that it was great.

It is a well-kept campground. We had a good experience. I need to mention, though, that the campsite we stayed at is a shared space, similar to a ranch. We parked up front and set up camp inside. However, there are a lot of spaces where parking is different at each site.

We enjoyed our time here. There were many hikes that told the history of this area. Gary, our campground host was very knowledgeable about the area and helped us extend our stay.

Campsites are very clean, well-shaded, and small. This campground was definitely built for trailers and RVs, but there is just enough room for a tent at most sites. Bathrooms are in acceptable condition, though the toilets and urinals are showing their age. Nice sink with potable water for dishes, and incredible access to the most family-friendly hikes in the park. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice tree covered campsites. Friendly campground host. Soap & paper towel dispensers in the men's room! Most campsites are close together so not much privacy. Deer walking throughout morning and night. Overall, a very nice stay!
