Fruita Campground is a beautiful, family-friendly site nestled among fruit orchards and stunning red cliffs, offering a peaceful atmosphere and excellent hiking opportunities. Clean bathrooms, friendly hosts, and unique amenities like fruit picking contribute to a memorable camping experience. What a unexpected surprise, it was a wonderful little oasis. Quiet, clean, and beautiful. The park service did nice informational programs at the amphitheatre . The orchards were so full and serene and then the deer... lot's of deer. Bucks, mama's and babies everywhere, hummingbirds too. We were so happy we decided to stay in Fruita.

We love the Fruita campground. Incredibly scenic. Nice shade trees. Plenty of wildlife. Free fresh fruit you pick from the trees. There is nothing like it anywhere. The restrooms were clean, had flush toilets, and even had soap.

Very family friendly campground. Deer are everywhere eating fruit! Loved being so close to the orchards and being able to walk right over. Nice bathroom facilities.

Second time camping here and we love it. This time we were in loop C with our campground backed up against a field. It felt very private. The only downside of loop C is it's farther away from the Gifford house and barn. Restrooms were clean, but one of the two stalls were out of order which wasn't great.

The view from our campsite (56) was spectacular, and having grass instead of just dirt was an amenity we appreciated more than we expected. Bathroom was clean, everyone was very quiet. Great place to disconnect!

It is a nice space, just a heads up; pavement doesn't mean level. They are paved but the pavers/supervisors had little interest or notice about leveling the spaces. It is an older park and converted from tenting/old school camping. For my 32' rig - I lower the back bumper to about 10" from the ground and the front bumper towered about 30" above the ground. BTW - What a spectacular location, beautiful canyon scenery, easy access to trails and the scenic drive. I hope to stay here again and bring friends and family. I will work to get a space in Loop C.

Loved having some trees around us and the sites were spacious. Got to pick some pears to eat in the orchard across from us. Nightly ranger program was informative and interesting. Strawberry rhubarb pie at the bake shop very nearby was delicious!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this campground! Camping neighbors and general vibes are peaceful, serene, and magical. The scenic drive is amazing. And looking up at the night sky is like having a religious experience - the stars are so low they seem right above your head. Try the apple pie!
