The spots are large enough for a small RV trailer. We will return soon.

Not many people there, and we were far from a restroom, so the host let us change our location so that we were right across from the restroom.
Thanks,

Best smelling campground I have been in. Fresh and piney. Not dusty.

We would really love for the water to be fixed at Monte Cristo. We love this campground but it is very frustrating to have no access to water. Year after year we are told they are just waiting for a pump, but it never comes. We miss the flush potties and the water. Please fix them.

Beautiful area with neighbors not very close like other campgrounds. Just a wonderful place to relax with friends and family and maybe watch some stars at night.

This campground was great! Earlier reviews indicated issues with onsite water and bathrooms but during our trip both were working properly. Our campsite (41) was free from trash and other debris. The picnic table, cooking platform, fire ring, and concrete pad were all in excellent condition. This site is on the outside of the loop so it was secluded but we had to walk .13 miles to the nearest water spigot and .15 miles to the bathrooms. There was decent shade for most of the day but during the warm late morning and early afternoon loads of flies became active, probably from the low vegetation in the area. Just beyond the campsite the forest is thick with pines and aspens. We saw birds, squirrels, and deer but no other animals. There is one spot for a full-size tent, a little closer to the fire ring than we would prefer but we didn’t have any problems with several fires lit over multiple days. We had no service with VZW. The camp host was polite and respectful of our privacy.

The group sites can be pretty loud, make sure you find a spot away from them.

Have camped at this campground for several years, very glad the water is repaired.
The fair review, is due to the lack of cleaning of the vault toilets, urine stains on the floors and walls, have never seen this campground this filthy and unkept.
Fire pits unusable completely full of ash and full of trash. I do hope in 2025 it is better taken care of.
