Extraordinarily clean. The river was fun for tubing and swimming. Three easy peddling bike trails. 2 trails are on an old rail trail.

I like the simplicity of the campground. Just nature , a nice river, big sites, hiking and biking . Friendly host nice Rangers ,good fire pits . This is my favorite campground. Clean bathrooms and great showers no complaints about my stay there at all. Thank you for a great camping time

Very lovely campground, in two sections. We stayed in the North section which was undergoing repairs of the bathrooms and showers, but had a wonderful time nonetheless. The West River is very picturesque, and we actually saw a bear crossing the river while we were there. We were in site #36, which is part of a ring of campsites, almost all of which were occupied by a large group. However, the group which included pre-teens was so respective of our space and quiet--really very impressive.

Even with the inconvenience of the water being temporarily out on the north side, Winhall Brook remains a gem!

It was a very nice clean Park. The restrooms were closed because of pandemic. They had Porta pots in place of the restrooms. Well if you got to go, you got to go. I camped dispersed, so I had a picnic table and a fire ring, and it was a back in on the grass only. Every site was grass only. I didn't like that very much. Overall it was quiet, except for the flyover Jets from a base of some sort near by. They
only practiced for a little while so it didn't really bother me because I thought it was pretty cool. If it was an all day thing I probably would be complaining. The campground was on both sides of a creek, which was pretty nice, because when I laid my head down on my pillow, all I heard was the sound of the water. If and when I find out that the bathrooms have opened, I would go back. I talked to two of the Rangers and they were very nice and polite. I give it three stars. Oh yeah by the way. I have Verizon, there was no cell service. There was but I had to drive up to the ranger check in point. And sit there and do my internet work.

Lovely camping on the North side. Two drawbacks—no water, although porto-potties were scrupulously cleaned each day. Also a very loud group gathering in the lower field from Thursday to Sunday. This group did not abide by quiet hours, and were excessively noisy during the day as well. The rangers did speak with them, but the rangers leave at 10 PM, so there was little we could do.

A very clean campground, but a challenge to cross the bridge with a RV

Beautiful grassy sites, clean bathrooms, friendly rangers, and staff, and a babbling brook make this an outstanding camping experience. I highly recommend this National Forest campground.
