Great stay as always at Winhall!
Unfortunately Hurricane Henry was approaching and they were closing the campground immediately for the safety of the campers due to the possibility of high winds and rain from the storm. We were disappointed but understanding. Who would want to stay there next to two converging streams filling with rain to the overflow point. One of the closest sites to the converged stream/river on a flood plane. Not to mention all the branches, trees and rocks carried down stream. I doubt if It ever got that bad. I’ll sit back in my warm an dry home and imagine the storm on site S64 in my mind eye. We only lost two days of our stay. I feel bad for working folks who just started their annual vacation planned months ago.

First time visit to Winhall Brook was outstanding. Easy check in, exceptional grounds and nice campsites many along the West River. Easy access from campground to bike and walking trails. Campground divided into north or south loops each loop having only one bathroom which for some is quite a walk if anything as a con that would be it. Bathrooms very clean. It seemed many groups camping for reunions, etc. Great place for this! Movie played Saturday night for kids. Good place to get away from technology very little cell service in area. Hope to return again- Recommend!

Well maintained park, site (s28) was clean and basically level with power and water. It wasn't as private as I hoped but ok for a mid week stay. The bridge to the south side was narrow but passible. There were plenty of rigs bigger than our 22 ft trailer that made it through. Bathroom and showers were clean. Only one shower per restroom so plan accordingly since there may be a wait. Cell service was pretty much non existent so do your research of the area before you get there. Campground staff were friendly, firewood available. South Londonderry had a nice market and there are some good restaurants with in a ten mile area. Ball Mountain Reservoir was disappointing since it was drained. There is access to moderate hiking trails from the campground. Easy accessible dump station although the cover for the waste drain was submerged and a little unpleasant to access.
