Greenwood Lodge and Campsites

I stayed at the Greenwood Lodge and Campsites during a recent motorcycle tour through NH and Vermont and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The sites were reasonably priced, easy to find and nicely secluded.

You get a lot for what you pay for here, Greenwood is not just basic patches of dirt with picnic tables. Chris in reception was warm and helpful, and was happy to accommodate my switching sites for better hammock trees. The Lodge features a small hostel with a kitchen and cozy sitting room, a game room with ping pong, shuffleboard and other amusements, indoor bathrooms with included showers, and potable taps.

Elsewhere at the campground are two nice ponds amidst the sites, a larger pond with boats for checkout and a riverwalk, plus other lawn games and a clever swinging bench made from an old ski lift chair.

I wish I could’ve stayed longer; a buggy dusk gave way to a pleasant and comfortable evening, easy opportunities for a campfire and a tranquil morning. I will absolutely come back if I am in the area.

Beautiful campsite and wonderful hosts!! Clean bathrooms and showers, a short drive to restaurants and shops. Stunning landscape around the camp.

Great campground. Plenty of local hiking trails. Beautiful location. Very nice, well kept grounds. A nice mix of sites. Dump station only. Water and electric at the campsites.

This place is the heaven of campgrounds. It has so much to offer and the upkeep on this property is amazing. The same owners have had this since 1960. Both Ann And Ed and their son Chris are the greatest people and hosts that I’ve ever ran into. I enjoyed it so much that I went for one night and stayed for three. There are lakes and waterfalls, fire pits, picnic tables Along with water, electric, Wi-Fi, and plenty of room to roam around. I was so impressed with the sheer beauty of this property in the calming feeling that you have when you’re staying there. I will definitely return for many more visits. 😎🥰🇺🇸🏕️🤩

Couldn’t recommend this place enough! The hosts are the most lovely people, the grounds are gorgeous, and the amenities are everything you need to make your stay comfortable and accessible. If you can’t decide where to stay or are picking between a few different spots, use this review and your deciding factor to choose Greenwood. You won’t regret it!

We loved the walking trails, the boat rentals (free!) on the lake, and the proximity to everything you might want to do in GMNF. Special thanks to Ann and Chris for their help with our car when the mountain driving took a toll on our brakes! They helped us find a place open on a holiday weekend, and we got it fixed right away. So many wonderful things to say… and our dog loved it!
