A loop sites are not level and not for beginner RVers. Beautiful campground but be careful. A47 the RV rolled back, there is no barrier or stop before a steep drop. We had a near disaster. Easy fix is raised barrier or level the site.

Site is a little small compared to others at this campground. My 34ft camper did fit in, but had to be quick unhooking and hooking because truck was in the road. Only thing is wish there were showers up there. It is a pretty long walk to the shower from Loop A. But I'd camp there again

This is a very nice site with lots of room. Do get more than normal foot traffic because your by the sidewalk heading to the bathroom/Shower house. But not really a big deal for us. Our 34 foot camper fit in great. Would reserve again

My only complaint would be some of the day use visitors. I witnessed soiled diapers just discarded on the ground.

From HWY 220, take the Bassett, VA exit onto HWY 57 West. Go approximately 10 miles to Goose Point Road. Look for brown Goose Point Park sign, turn right, then go 5 miles on a paved road to the park entrance.
Goose Point is accessible from HWY 220 via the Bassett exit, connecting to HWY 57 West.
Elevation: 323 feet
12 mi drive to downtown Bassett (about 20 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Access road and park roads are hilly, winding and narrow and may be difficult for larger RVs to navigate.
- Two vehicles are allowed per campsite.
- A fee of $7/day will be charged for extra vehicles at the campground.
- Park gates closed
- Alcohol is prohibited.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
