A beautiful place! First time here but my new favorite campground by far. We stayed in section C, site #32 and had water views on 3 sides of our camper. Site pad was gravel, spacious, private, and near the restrooms. Amazing views and I was surprised by this because it's an interior lot, not waterfront. The tall trees supplied the perfect amount of shade and private feeling. I'd seek this site # for future stays, but most any spot in this section C is going to deliver great views. The restrooms were always clean. The paths to the restrooms are paved which was nice. There's no campground store. Only thing you can purchase is firewood. A must visit while there is Philpott Dam Overlook!!! Incredible views from above. Do not miss. Due to bad weather most of our trip we didn't get to explore much, can't wait to return to do so. Lots of beautiful parks and campgrounds in the area.

Stay was 4 nights in a 30' Gulf Stream B Turing cruiser. A semi secluded beautiful site. Visited Fairy Stone Park and the stone hunting area. Enjoyed some of the hiking trails. With the 30' rig having 208" wheelbase we had to becareful of inclines at sharp turns in the camp ground and at the dump station. AT&T and Virizon worked well for us even with low bars. We will return to this campground.

Goose Point Has quickly become our favorite local campground. We've stayed there three different times this year, and have enjoyed every visit. The support from their staff is excellent! We even received a phone call from the staff before our last visit that our campsite was already available after the previous camper's checked out! Also worth mentioning is that there is firewood on site for sale. I previously read another review that stated otherwise! We look forward to visiting again soon!

We stayed mid-week to have quiet, and were not disappointed. The facilities and grounds were well kept and stocked. Only things that would've improved the time would have been a slop sink for dish washing and a way to purchase ice on-site. Beautiful place.

We love camping at Goose Point. It is family friendly and every campsite has been clean and ready for us at check-in. The staff is friendly and very courteous.

The Friday camp host were amazing. The ranger for weekend were not, in fact strange. The sites are not big rig friendly. I would never recommend any one with class A or large trailer to go there.

In 6 days, I never had a ranger stop by. I may see one, once a day. I never, ever saw a camp host. No one cleaned up the campsite before I got there, and no once cleaned up when other campers left. With the leaves falling everywhere, it would have been nice to have someone blow the patios.

From HWY 220, take the Bassett, VA exit onto HWY 57 West. Go approximately 10 miles to Goose Point Road. Look for brown Goose Point Park sign, turn right, then go 5 miles on a paved road to the park entrance.
Goose Point is accessible from HWY 220 via the Bassett exit, connecting to HWY 57 West.

General
- Access road and park roads are hilly, winding and narrow and may be difficult for larger RVs to navigate.
- Two vehicles are allowed per campsite.
- A fee of $7/day will be charged for extra vehicles at the campground.
- Park gates closed
- Alcohol is prohibited.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
