Goose Point has always been our favorite place to camp. We have not been since our kids grew up….now we’re back. Driving the 5 miles in was without a doubt a very joyful ride. The campground is so well maintained. Philpott Lake is stunning. Can’t wait to return in October for 10 nights.

Very nice campground, a little hard to get into and have to reserve early because people play as it’s known as the Goosepoint game and get more time than they need then no one else has a real chance. But othersize t it’s very nice.

We have been here several times and we love it. It's so beautiful there and the sites are always clean and well kept. The bath houses are always clean and well stocked. The staff is wonderful. We will be back.

Beautiful campground. Last year stayed up top which we enjoyed, but this spring stayed lakeside which was very nice. Went to Autumn Creek Vineyards about 45 minutes away, great wine and nice grounds. Went to Papa's Pizza both times we stayed at the campground and they have very good food. Also, the Railway Cafe was a nice spot for lunch. Enjoyed exploring the area.

Staff was extremely polite. The campground is very pretty. Fairy stone state park was near by but we didn’t go there. The area is very pretty as is Philpott lake. You can find things to do and sites to see but we just stayed put and enjoyed meeting people. The only down side is the dump station. Staying in loop A you must navigate two sharp turns to get to dump station. Also there are narrow roads with lots of hills to get there but I thought it was worth it. Happy camping!

From HWY 220, take the Bassett, VA exit onto HWY 57 West. Go approximately 10 miles to Goose Point Road. Look for brown Goose Point Park sign, turn right, then go 5 miles on a paved road to the park entrance.
Goose Point is accessible from HWY 220 via the Bassett exit, connecting to HWY 57 West.

General
- Access road and park roads are hilly, winding and narrow and may be difficult for larger RVs to navigate.
- Two vehicles are allowed per campsite.
- A fee of $7/day will be charged for extra vehicles at the campground.
- Park gates closed
- Alcohol is prohibited.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
