Clean and well-maintained area with toilets and showers available. There is some cellular service, though it can be spotty at times. The views are beautiful and make it a great place to stay. Police patrol the area once or twice a day, which adds an extra sense of security.

This campgrounds has all the amenities you want in camping. Everything is close by the water, bathrooms are fair.

Our visit to Goose Point was nice. It rained a few times but wasn't to bad. We were in site #63. The lake front is beautiful. We would go down in the evenings to watch the sunset. Very peaceful. The park ranger helped us get our site changed. He was very friendly and accommodating. Overall experience was good and we enjoyed our stay.

Site 17 has such a beautiful view. i do wish you had group sites for RV's. Bathrooms were very nice. I just wish it was easier to get reservations.

Overall experience at Goose Point has been good. We have camped there several times over the years. The facility has a nice swimming area to cool off, trails to walk, and a boat ramp to launch your boat. Highly recommended!

The camp area was super clean and easy to set up our tent! This was our first camping trip and it was a great experience! The bath houses were close, clean and easy to access! The beach area was nice too! Everyone was friendly and welcoming as we came in and ready to help if you needed it!

Getting There
From HWY 220, take the Bassett, VA exit onto HWY 57 West. Go approximately 10 mi to Goose Point Road. Look for brown Goose Point Park sign, turn right, then go 5 mi on a paved road to the park entrance.
Highway access
Goose Point is accessible from HWY 220 via the Bassett exit, connecting to HWY 57 West.
Policies & Rules
General
- Access road and park roads are hilly, winding and narrow and may be difficult for larger RVs to navigate.
- Two vehicles are allowed per campsite.
- A fee of $7/day will be charged for extra vehicles at the campground.
- Park gates closed
- Alcohol is prohibited.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
