Smith River RV Park

New owners have put in a ton of work to make the campground look great! Staff is amazing always willing to help and friendly. Have been here 8 months and they have made a lot of changes! Excited for the new summer activities. Great long term option with bathhouse and laundry on site! Close to grocery stores and Dollar stores for ease of quick shopping.

WHAT A FUN EXPERIENCE! The staff at this park are the BEST! Very accommodating for all the race fans that came for the Martinsville Spring race. We had such a relaxing time when not at the track. The river that runs along the campground is beautiful and available to tube on! The dog park is spacious and clean. The entire park was so clean. Eli was such a great worker and made our stay and race experience extra special by driving a shuttle to the track. Truly, great vacation! Thank you!

Enjoyed a weekend stay during Labor Day 2025. We were in town for a travel baseball tournament, and located this camp ground on campspot. Looked at the location and decided to give it a try. The female who answered the phone for my reservation was extremely friendly. Even calling the day of our arrival to make sure they wouldn’t miss us if we were close. We still got there late, but all the check-in information was in the outside box and had no issues setting up our camper. The campsite that we were at was very level. Had no issues with electrical or water. However, there was no picnic table at all of the locations, Didn’t make that big of deal with it, we managed without one . Also found it kind of a little weird having to use a key fob to access the restroom/shower/ laundry building, but again, not that big of deal. There are quite a few river access spots for fishing, which I enjoyed while there. The campground itself was located near several different things although Martinsville does not have a whole lot going on (when the speedway isn't active) iwe were still able to explore some of the businesses that were close and even going bowling at the local bowling alley not too far away. I think this was the perfect campsite for someone who is just looking to get away for the weekend and not wanting to really do a whole lot but hang out at the camper. Being somebody that likes to travel a lot to different locations that have swimming pools, golf carts, riding around everywhere and a lot of activities. This was a very nice place to just go and relax. Will definitely be going back another time if ever back in the area!!

We loved our stay and hope to be back! They have clean showers & a nice laundry facility. They offer pull through spots and we grabbed one by the river. They even have a dog park and a playground. We had individual septic, water, and electric hookups. The lady who works the front is super sweet and the property was beautiful. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Great place to stay it’s very quiet and have kayaking rentals. Kasey is the best
