River's Edge Campground

I booked primitive campsite T1 for 3days/2nights. Easy river access, plenty of room for our family of 5 plus 3 dogs & truck. Our tent is huge and fit perfectly. Jump pillow/blob thingy for the kids was a hit (ages 4,13&11!), the bath house was so freaking nice, and we even caught a few fish! The property was so peaceful and quiet and the owners definitely thought of it all when they created this family friendly campground. We definitely will be back!!! Oh! and the night skies and stars are out of this world!

We had a great time at the Rivers Edge Campground. The husband and wife team that own and operate the facility were very professional and we enjoyed our conversation with them while shopping at the camp store. We also love utilizing local shops and restaurants when camping and the Rivers Edge Campground is minutes from the quaint town of Broadway and Old Town Harrisonburg, Virginia is only another 25 minutes away. We would also like to add that the shower houses and bathrooms are extremely clean and modern, this always a welcome surprise. The property is surrounded by beautiful foothills and of course the North Fork is there to enjoy as well. Lisa and I will be back to enjoy the Rivers Edge Campground very soon.

Rivers edge is a great campground!
We stayed in a tent site. Having river access was so fun.
The shower house is top notch!
Staff was friendly , very quick to respond and just generally great people.
One of the staff over heard me saying to my son, that I was sorry I didn't bring fishing pole and a staff member offered me to come by her house to borrow one. Doesn't get much better then that!
I highly recommend!
Also, close to some great hikes at Lost River State Park.

Great campground. Extremely clean bathhouse and well kept grounds. We stayed a Friday through a Wednesday and had the campground virtually to ourselves Monday and Tuesday. The swimming hole was great! It had a shallow end for my little guy and I to sit and a deep section for my husband and older kids. Not much to do in the area but we just wanted to relax so it was perfect for us! The mountain views were incredible from site 23 and the hiking trail loop was really nice for walks/runs. It is dog friendly and had a nice enclosed dog run area that we made use of a couple times. Swing set and bounce pad were both huge hits with the kids! We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Best campground we've been to in a long time! Cleanest facilities I've ever seen. Very quiet. Great place to unplug and relax. We will definitely be back!
