Gap Mountain Retreat

Couldn't have found a better place to stay with my 2 dogs. Amazing views right from your balcony, gorgeous cabins with everything you need/want, and a great hike right on the property with the best overlook view. The owners are such good people, book your trip before you can't because this is going to be the place to go in Blacksburg!

Gap Mountain Retreat is an incredible destination. It’s everything you could want for the ultimate getaway. Looking out at the amazing views from the beautiful decks over coffee or wine will make you take a deep breath and forget all of the worries of everyday life. An amazing place for hiking,
a family/friend trip or a great getaway for Virginia Tech or Radford accommodations while attending Parent’s weekends or football games (Uber is available). Your expectations will be exceeded.

So beautiful! We stayed here with our 2 year old and dog and they had the best time exploring the woods and rocks. The views from the cabins are absolutely stunning, and there are even better scenes of the New River from the overlooks. The cabins are cozy and comfortable and have everything you need. The whole atmosphere is really peaceful and such a great place to disconnect!

The most relaxing place for a baby moon, or anything, really! The cabins are so thoughtfully designed and beautiful (all the wood finishes come from the property! 🤩). The bed is so comfortable and overlooks an incredible view of the valley, mountains, and bending New River. Coffee on the deck watching the morning fog lift off the river was a highlight. The kitchen is fully stocked. We were also surprised to have 5G service! Can’t wait to come back especially in fall when the trees are colorful.
