About Longwood Park

Longwood Park is located on John H. Kerr Reservoir, a 50,000-acre lake that extends 39 miles up the wooded, cove-studded shoreline of the Roanoke River in Virginia and North Carolina. Kerr Reservoir, also known as Buggs Island Lake, was created with the construction of the John H. Kerr Dam in 1952. Its 800 miles of wooded shoreline stretch across six counties and two states and offer countless recreation opportunities for visitors.

I absolutely loved the park however the shower house, was absolutely disgusting!
I don’t believe they cleaned them during the 3night stay there. The same garbage and dirty panties were behind the toilet for the duration of my stay. As someone who has to use the facilities a lot due to health conditions, I was extremely disappointed and disgusted. :/

Fantastic campgrounds, friendly staff; lakeside camping with your boat can’t be beat!
Shower stalls could use some hooks but other than that, nothing negative about this fabulous park and campground!
