Nice a quiet in the shoulder seasons. Sites are spaced well and t-mobile had good reception. Did not use restrooms or showers but appear clean and well kept from regular walks passing and frequent cleaning crew

This place is GORGEOUS! I was lucky enough to nab a waterfront site and had a few days there. I was a bit of a hike away from the toilet/shower block but have facilities for overnight so this wasn't a huge issue. The shower rooms were awesome: big, cleaned daily and seemingly plenty of hot water.
The people I met at the gates were delightful and helpful and made me feel welcome from the start.
The whole place was clean, well laid out and really pretty with stunning little beaches everywhere. Next time I'm coming back for longer and bringing my boat...

There had been a lot of off season improvements and repairs made throughout the park. The new steps and hand rails leading to the lake were awesome!

Loved this campground so much that I stayed the full 14 days. My site 142 was quiet with no one right beside me. I was In the woods instead of lakeside so there wasn’t as much wind on the cold days. Bathhouses are private and very clean. Park Rangers and volunteers were all very nice. I will definitely be back when I come back through Virginia! No complaints at all.
