So sad that we were told that we had to leave on day 4 of our 10 day planned vacation, because of flooding. Mother Nature had other plans π. No spaces available to move to, so we had to pack up two tents, two campers, 2 EZ-up shelters, movie screen, pontoon boat, 4 kayaks, bicycles, and LOTS of kids toys and head home.
We love Rudds Creek and will definitely return, but not on site 84D. In fact, Iβve already booked a site for August. I was kinda surprised that I was not reimbursed for our full stay β¦β¦.Just the remaining days.

Naturally beautiful & well-maintained park. Bathroom toilets are residential-type with floating ball in tank flushing, requiring users to hold the flush lever down for an unusually long time. The site gravel is too large and uncomfortable under foot and could tear plastic-weave mats. I would like to have on-site trails in this beautiful environment.

Great Campground with sites in the woods and either on the lake or with a lake view. Very clean. Campground hosts very knowledgable and helpful. For larger rigs, be sure to scope out the site sizes as some are pitched making it difficult to level.

The waterfront camp sites were wonderful with lots of shade & many had areas where children could swim or boats could be anchored.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- The campground gate house is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from April 1 to October 31.
Site capacity
- Camping equipment must fit within the site perimeters and tents should have padding due to gravel bases.
- The maximum stay is 14 days within any 30-day period, and changing reservations to extend the stay is prohibited.
Safety & rules
- Generators and music must be turned off by 10:00 p.m.
- Mail and packages cannot be sent to the park; they will be refused and returned to the sender.
Site types & loops
- Alcoholic beverages and off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground.
Fees & deposits
- Interagency Senior and Access Pass holders get a 50% discount on camping fees, but must be present at registration.
