A little trouble getting level, but once level, the site was fantastic. Great view, plenty of space between sites, no issues.

First I was on site 88 had Japanese Hornets in a stump directly behind trailer. Ranger with help came and sprayed, issue solved. I was going to move to site 79, have trying to have low limbs cut back so limbs wouldn't hit and drag and damage my camper. Took 6 weeks and more discussion with Park Ranger to get limbs cut back. I have a 41' Jayco pinnacle with a $10,000.00 full body paint job and I did not want paint damaged. Upkeep of Rudds Creek is poor, contractors sit in parked vehicles for hours and do nothing. Underbrush from back loop sites and lake needs to be cut, weeds, grass , poison oak everywhere around sites need to cut and poison oak sprayed. This used to be one the nicest camp grounds in Va. now it looks rundown and no one cares. Sites need new gravel and leveled up, contractors need a leader someone that really cares for Rudds Creek and it's future, treat the campground like you live there everyday. People need to go to work and do their job. Some of the corner trees at start of entrance to a lot of sites are so big it makes it darn hard to back into some sites. It will take 10 working people 3 months to get Rudds Creek back in shape and a place you can be proud of.
