Excellent camping facility. Spaces are not overly large, but the setting is great.

Excellent week. It was a bit cold and rained a couple of days but the site was great, clean and well maintained. The gate attendants were kind and helpful. Convenient to town, yet far enough away to enjoy nature. Good fishing from the bank. If it was warmer we could have swam. Will definitely be coming back!

Preface: Our review is based on the following lifestyle. We are full-time RVers simply travelling to see the US and not vacationing. We generally spend 3-14 nights in any CG and move on. Our priority in selecting a CG is: America the Beautiful Senior Pass discounts, then Military CGs, City, County, then State Parks. Commercial CGs are our last choice.
Roads:
Getting to the park: Waze and other GPS programs will not necessarily get you to the CG. Waze took us about Β½ mile west of the entrance that is located on US 58 west of Boydton, VA.
Inside the park/base: Once inside the CG the road is asphalt and adequate with a 15 mph speed limit.
Patio: Huge gravel patio about 24βx30β and level.
Picnic Table: There is one that is in good condition. Also there is a 24βx42β concrete table at countertop height.
Fire Ring: Yes, with a grill that rotates up and away from the fire.
Lantern/Trash Pole: Yes.
LxW, Lvl: This was a back-in site about 14βx69β. This site was level.
Electric: Sites have 20/30/50amp connections. We had no issues with electricity while camping here. The hook up is located about 1/3 the distance from the rear of the site.
Water: Pressure was good. The hook up is located about 1/3 the distance from the rear of the site.
Sewer: No. The dump station is located on the way out of the campground. There is a single dump on the way out and the CG has 100 sites. Plan your departure accordingly to avoid waiting in line at the dump station.
Bath/Shower House: They are available; however, we did not utilize them. The exteriors looked clean and modern.
Wi-fi: No Wi-fi at this CG. Our iPhone SE and 6 had 1 to 2 bars of 4 bars of service. Our Verizon JetPack had 2 of 5 bars of service. We were able to stream video at this location.
TV: We were not able to get OTA channels.
